Substituting the word "interests" for "equities" perhaps makes the interview a little easier to understand. "A sense of guilt, perhaps, that the UK brought this onto Gibraltar?" was an interesting question, particularly as Lord Cameron was the PM who gave us the referendum and it is he, as Foreign Secretary, now conducting negotiations on behalf of the UK. Cameron, however, was elected Prime Minister upon a manifesto in 2015 that promised the UK a referendum on leaving the EU. I rather resent the implication in the interviewer's question that those in the UK who voted for Brexit should feel a sense of guilt at the consequences for Gibraltar. Everyone who voted in the referendum, including the people of Gibraltar, cast their vote according to their own interests (or "equities", perhaps). Mr. Picardo is undoubtedly a skilful negotiator with the best interests of the people of Gibraltar at heart. I wish we in the UK had had someone of his calibre during our own negotiations with the EU. Whatever deal is done, however, following its approval by the people of Gibraltar and implementation, experience suggests we need to be prepared for the possibility of perverse interpretation of its clauses by the EU.

Don't trust Cameron.

Perhaps it is a mistake to expect too much of David Cameron. He was the one, after all, who told his Civil Service NOT to plan for the eventuality of Leave winning the Brexit Referendum.

I have not heard of any plans for this, but any agreement should be put to the people of Gibraltar in a referendum.

Let's hope the airport staff manage to line it up with the plane door because many times in gibraltar I've notice it's about a foot and a half below the door and I've seen old people struggle with such a big step up.

A half decent attempt by the Spanish Foreign Minister to convey the impression that, on the Spanish side of the border, and in the negotiations, the EU is not pulling all the strings. I hope nobody on our side of the negotiations is fooled by his performance.

I do not know whether, as part of his visit, Mr. Picardo will be invited to sup with Lord Cameron. If he does, I suggest he uses a long spoon. As with many others in the UK, I would not trust anything Lord Cameron said.

Old news ,considering this happened last Sunday and the crew was rescued by a tanker coming to Gibraltar….and was reported on the Spanish press on Monday!

It's almost as dangerous going inshore due to all the fishing parifinalia off the Spanish coast. How about the Spanish Government instructing all the removal of the kms of lines that run from sea to shore that prevent safe navigation in contradiction to maritime laws. In the circumstances, and especially since over-fishing of tuna is more than likely a stimulus to these orcas' behaviours (though of course it is denied...surprise, surprise) you'd think some adjustments and concessions would be made by the seemingly unregulated fishing industry (eg around Barbate) to ameliorate the situation. So far, nothing has been done/changed. I suspect it won't be long before lives are lost as vessels are forced into danger zones.

Hmm...who wants to visit Parsons Lodge penny pinched exhibition? Or the run down car park that is Europa Point? How about a botanic garden full of weeds and broken paths and a grim zoo ? How about an alternative tour to the Opticians ...or perhaps the real world...
